Wilfords has a long history of sourcing and supplying footwear to the trade.
The Wilfords family started selling shoes around the middle of the last century.
As with most family concerns, they together with their staff, worked hard to build the business from small beginnings in Leicester, eventually becoming one of the main footwear distributors in the UK.
In 1990, the business was acquired by Kidderminster Footwear, an even older established family business, who added their own expertise and resources to take the business forward, but still allowing it to run as a separate concern under the Wilfords name.
In 2000, there was a complete change of management at Wilfords, which brought with it a new direction and a much closer relationship with the parent company.
Their vast experience with overseas factories was now available to Wilfords, where the new management wisely took full advantage of this valuable connection.
Wilfords have since evolved to become the leading distributor of well-designed high quality women’s fashion footwear at sensible prices.
